Development Activities: Schools Computer Education Project

There are several schools located in the vicinity of THRIVEs Resource center ranging from primary to upper primary. Education in these schools is limited to text books and many of the youngsters who study here, have never even tried their hands on a Computer unlike their urban counterparts who have grownup with computers, gadgets, and gizmos surrounding them.

THRIVE has endeavored to provide a computer in each of these schools to enable the students to get exposure and access to a computer and create awareness about its uses and the latest technology innovations that are going on in the world.

These computers will be loaded with plenty of Educational materials which will cover various subjects useful for children.

Some of these schools have power supply, but still there are some schools that are located in interior areas and are devoid of electricity. In these schools the computers will be powered by Solar energy.

These computers, are powered by an Intel based processor, and about 256mb of memory, and 80Gigabits of Hard Disk Space and is a single integrated unit with no extensions.
