THRIVE's renewable energy center

THRIVE developed over the last 7 years state of art renewable center in 18 acre campus 100 Km away from Hyderabad.

General Activities in the THRIVE campus

Education, Health &  Agriculture Extension

• Conducting research studies on the crop pattern, water utilization (GIS mapping of AGRICULTURE BOREWELLS), electricity availability, utilization and a host of other subjects.

• Conducting computer-training classes to near by 7 schools children in the mandal with our computers installed in all the schools. 

• Providing free supply of plants and seeds (fruits, vegetables and shade trees) to the farmers and housewives and encouraging organic farming.

• Providing agricultural counseling services to the farmers on fertilizer use, crop selection, pesticides and marketing of agricultural commodities.

Media Development & Documentation

THRIVE has been developing promotional material in video formats on health, education, credit, different livelihood options. THRIVE is also in the process of documenting the experience and issues pertaining to the present schemes of the government and other NGOs in the areas of watershed development, drinking water/ fluorosis issue, health and women welfare programs and micro credit groups.

Village Resource Database

THRIVE has been collecting extensive information on the selected villages and organizing them into databases (village resource database) with interface programs to query and process any indicator of health, education, economic development or requirement of the villagers. The database is being utilized to develop specific projects, schemes for a particular group and then to update the government & other NGOs on the suitable interventions required.
 
Village resources database will become the first of its kind in terms of comprehensiveness of the program to help plan, monitor and evaluate village and mandal level programs & projects. It captures the comprehensive information of every individual, family, child, and women on education, health, livestock, ground water, crops, land holdings etc. The database runs on desktops as well as on Palm-tops.

Technical Assistance & Advisory Services

THRIVE has been rendering technical assistance and advisory services in GIS resource mapping, database development, communication technologies, planning and implementation, and other areas to NGOs, Research institutes and government organizations. 

THRIVE works in close association with the government functionaries by supplying critical information of the beneficiaries, providing tools like village maps, project reports, documented experiences of some good practices in other places & computer software  to the officers.

Recent Assignments

Reproductive Child Health Baseline Survey:
THRIVE has completed the survey for the RCH II for the districts of Nalgonda and Guntur districts. The survey was carried out for Government of Andhra Pradesh 

Tamilnadu, Tsunami Rehabilitation Assessment Project:
THRIVE has completed the Assessment of Tsunami Rehabilitation in Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu for the WHO Geneva. 

ANM PDA Project:
THRIVE has Completed a study on the ANM-PDA project in Nalgonda for the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, Govt. of Japan.
